Solis Constructors, Inc. successfully completed the construction of two 11,800sqft Terminal High Altitude Defense (THAAD) Battery - Company Operation Facility Buildings at Fort Hood, Texas. This project provides the U. S. Army and Missile Defense Agency with a state of the art facility designed and constructed to support vital Department of Defense initiatives. Employing the latest Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) and Life Safety building systems, this facility has cutting edge attributes while meeting all applicable building codes and standards.




SOF C-130 Washrack Hangar

The SOF C-130 Washrack Hangar is a 30,000 square foot indoor washrack facility for periodic scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for military aircraft up to the size of a Lockheed C-130 Hercules.  The project also included 35,000 square feet of concrete airfield apron pavement and unique systems, including foam guns, high pressure washrack detergent system, oil/water separator, boiler for aircraft washing, compressed air and an overhead monorail.




Moore Memorial USARC/AMSA

This Government Military Construction project consisted of the phased construction of multiple buildings on one site, including a 42,000 SF ARC Training Building, 7,800 SF Vehicle Organizational Maintenance Shop (OMS), unheated storage building, 1,800 SF Covered Wash Rack, and 65,000 SF heavy duty concrete organizational parking pavement. The facilities include classrooms, training areas, media centers, multimedia presentation areas, conference/meeting areas, physical fitness centers, locker rooms, restrooms, administrative offices, Army Reserve command support areas, arms vaults, SIPRNET café, unheated storage, equipment and tool storage areas, equipment and tool distribution center, vehicle/equipment maintenance bays, and landscaped outdoor recreation areas. This project achieved certified LEED Silver.



Chapel Complex & Religious Education Facility

This design-build project included the design and construction of a 32,900 square foot Army Standard (COS) Design Chapel Complex and a 10,000 square foot Religious Education Facility to accommodate from 600 to 1,200 attendees and to provide new administrative facilities for the Fort Hood Garrison Chaplain Command. The Contract required LEED Silver certification.  With a collaborative effort between Solis and the Corps of Engineers, LEED Gold certification was achieved at no additional cost to the Government.  This project is the Army’s first LEED Gold certified chapel.



AMD Project Lone Star

Project Lone Star Building B-100 is a state-of-the-art four story, 120,000 square foot, office building housing Advanced Micro Devices’ (AMD) executive and administrative teams.
 
This private industry project was part of the phased construction of a multiple building worldwide electronic computer chip manufacturer’s administrative campus. The project received a Gold Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) rating from the U.S. Green Building Council. AMD Project Lone Star as a whole was the largest LEED gold project in Texas at the time it was completed, and set a new standard for sustainable development. The project received an Outstanding Construction Award from the Associated General Contractors of America Austin Chapter.
